Shaikh Kashif

A seasoned finance professional with close to 5 years of experience in the financial services industry primarily in the United Arab Emirates – Kashif is a dedicated finance professional with extensive knowledge on financial reporting and analysis, being proficient in International Financial Reporting Framework (IFRS), International Standard of Audit (ISA’s) and the various laws and regulations in the UAE including the DIFC/DFSA rules and standards.

As Finance Manager here at Lamer Capital Limited – he brings over his experience and expertise to facilitate the finance function which include financial reporting, overlooking/implementation of important controls over the financial reporting, business performance improvements and more. He leverages his strong research, analytical & communication skills and intrusive nature to contribute valuable insights to the company’s finance function and assist the leadership team in their decision-making processes.

Previously, Kashif was part of the external audit team at Grant Thornton UAE for over 4.5 years where he has been the lead senior in charge of teams, successfully executing audits of listed and large organizations in diverse sectors such as real estate, credit bureaus, trading, manufacturing, hotels and more.

During his tenure at Grant Thornton, Kashif collaborated closely with seasoned audit partners, directors, and other finance professionals. His exceptional coordination and commitment to excellence were recognized through several internal awards, highlighting his significant contributions to the audit team’s success and his ability to deliver high-quality results.

He is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) the professional membership body for chartered certified accountants globally founded in 1904. Kashif also holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Applied Accounting from the Oxford Brookes University based in the UK. Believing in always continuing one’s professional development – he is currently pursuing his MSc in Professional Accountancy from the University of London to further enhance his skillset.
